Stuffing Envelopes
This Scam has been around for ever.
Why would someone pay you $45 an hour to stuff envelopes? They wouldn’t.
I’ll breakdown for you what happens:
First you get the initial letter which says would you like to make money stuffing envelopes?
When you send them your money they send you back a similar letter to the one you initially received. They then tell you to go out buy envelopes, stamps, and to photocopy the initial mailing and the second mailing they have sent you.
They then tell you to create a mailing list, and to mail out the photocopied initial mailing to everybody.
The idea here is, what just happened to you, will happen to the people you rip off.
After you mail out all the initial mailings and someone sends you $45 you keep the money and then send them the photocopied second mailing.
Please do not be suckered by this. You will not make $45 an hour and will probably end up losing money because of the cost envelopes and stamps.
