Flat, Tilt Or Tilt/Swivel?
The most simplistic, in terms of design and installation, but an extremely popular method of mounting LCD/Plasma TV screens are the Flat LCD/ Plasma Brackets. This style of mounting provides a compact, close to the wall, unobtrusive mount, which is designed as a fixed, tilt or tilt and swivel bracket/mount. The fixed wall mounts/brackets are most suitable when the screen can be placed in a constant position and the viewing position does not need to change, such as perhaps within a training or meeting room, the home or commercially for display purposes or advertising, when viewing is directly from the front. The tilt option is useful for when the screen needs to be mounted at a higher than average seating level, perhaps in shopping centres or larger rooms and to assist in reducing glare on your screen from the sun or lighting. The tilt and swivel option provides greater versatility in angling your LCD/Plasma screen providing the up and downward tilt, but also a swivel from left to right and the flexibility to position your screen for portrait or landscape viewing. This option is particularly ideal within the home such as a lounge where there may be numerous people viewing from different angles. LCD/Plasma screens lose clarity of the picture at around a 45 degree angle so the tilt and swivel option can assist with reducing this problem.
