The business of buying land that is not currently needed for use but may be used in future for any purpose, be it commercial or residential, is termed as Land Banking. The business has existed since ages and many people, including the businesses and individuals, have benefitted from this practice, at large. Setback happened in this industry when some companies, scamsters instead, sold plots of land to prospective home builders to be used for residential purposes.
