Last Sunday, Matt Kenseth ended the GFS Marketplace 400 of the Nextel Cup of Nascar with a 0.622 seconds in advantage over Jeff Gordon winning the race.
Kenseth placed his 13 career victory, winning $221,091.00 in prizes at the Michigan International Speedway in front of 145.000 fans.
This way the driver, who has won in California and also in Dover, obtained the 46th place on the winners list. This is his second triumph in Michigan and his 11th in a super speedway.
Matt entered also in the top 10 in 23 races this season and keeps the second place in the rankings with 475 points. The driver headed 6 times with 87 laps including the last 32 in the GFS Marketplace 400.
But not only Kenseth won, also the owner of the team Jack Roush won his 93rd victory which means that he has won at least 1 race every year since 1997 to the date.
The next Nextel Cup race will take place on August 26th with the 24th of 36 races which will be held at the Bristol Motor Speedway located in Tenesi.
